Subject : beat the harthal
Comments :
the citizens should protest and beat the harthal by defying the harthal callers. shop's must be open and the people must attend office. the harthal supporters are not supermen and they too are humans like us. if a few start protesting, many will follow. however, nothing will rise until you start yourself.

Subject : Hartal - Ultimately the Sufferers are the common man
Comments :
If the protesters are that much pro people, They (the so called leaders) should have staged an indefinite hunger strike before the Parliment or other suitable place. Not by limiting the basic rights, the Indian constitution guaranteed to its citizen. In a way they are challenging the constitution itself. They dont want to sacrifice their material wellness...instead they put the whole weight on the poor people of the country by letting their followers to do anti-social deeds.

Subject : Freedom from Harthal
Comments :
Harthal an idiotic act, by the idiot people to make other people idiot. In 1947 we got freedom from britishers after a long freedom struggle. Now its a high time for Keralites to fight one more freedom struggle against hartal to secure the future of young generation. Harthal means no development. The political parties wants that, so that they can have people to raise red flags and say inquilab zindabad.Defeat Harthal instead of enjoying it as holiday. Let us try to bring the industrial development in Kerala.

I prefer working outside kerala. If I get an oppurtunity to start an entrepreneurship, I will never prefer kerala. Kerala is a good place to live, not to work. After pension... one can move to kerala, just like once people went to himalayas!

I cant understand the basic logic behind conducting a hartal. In the banner of helping people , the concerned group(which is conducting hartal) is making it as a platform to increase their fame(not popularity) in the cost of public inconvenience. This popularity can be compared with the popularity that Hitler got. If they feel that, to get their demands done hey have to go to streets , then they have a good example in front of us. Mahatma Gandhi. He showed that if people want to stand for a genuine cause ,they should do it peacefully and not by bullying. I hope better sense prevails in the minds of our damned leaders. JAIHIND

Polynesians can find out another ways to protest such as fasting, blood donation, service like road cleaning etc other than these 'bandhs'. hartals, etc Bandh(hartal) are insulting to our courts and law and order.

All the political parties and trade unions should understand that the harthal has nothing to do with any benefits and only causes loss of innocent peoples life and Governments income from many departments. But some of the beaurocrats like harthal because they don't want go to work and can earn money illegally in his/her homes. Mostly in kerala no more industries .Everything is coming from other states. The harthal will only make economical losses and hike the consumer items prices every year.No one coming to start any business in kerala. The harthal and political attacks against industrialists all over kerala will lead to dead industries. The Kerala people need to see how everything is managed in MAHARASHTRA,GUJARAT,TAMIL NADU,ANDHRA,KARNATAKA states. THIS EVERYBODY KNOWS BUT SOME OF THE BAD PEOPLE FROM POLITICS AND OTHER HOOLIGANS ARE TRYING TO PREVENT THE KERALA STATE DEVELOPMENT. WHICH IS WHY MALAYALEES PREFER WORKING OUT SIDE THE STATE.

This Harthal and Bandh is a curse to the society. However, there are many in Kerala who accept it in their mind since they are truly not ready to work. In fact, they consider it as a God given opportunity. We should make campaigns among people to change this attitude first, and detail them about the ultimate result i.e., disaster to the development and loss of our own public property. If people become unselfish and think that they are the ultimate losers, they will start thinking on a positive way of mind.

what i don't understand is if the opposition has a problem with the ruling party why do they bother the general public. i mean why punish us ordinary people. they can go about traveling in their red board vehicles with police escort but what about us and on top of it all, there are people who support this activity. and the funny thing is i have seen the same people standing for all the harthals no matter what party is hosting the harthal

Yes. We have seen every alternative day there is Harthal in Kerala. A top educated and a Top NRI State, it is shame to tell that we feel guilty to born in Kerala. If any Harthal is organished by the political parties it is a gain for them. At the same time how many public are suffering due to this. A Person who want to go for emergency from outside Kerala to meet his ailing mother or any other relatives he can't unknowingly if he land in airport he will come to know that there is harthal. There are so many incidents. Public should think that if it is their own relation how they will feel. Destroying public property is common in Kerala. What they are going to gain. The same thing happend inside their family or relative how they will feel. I think public should unite together and those who are forcing to shut the shops or breaking vehicles, throwing stone should catch immediately and punish infront of the public. Public should come forward and show courage to manage these type of gundaisom.

In a democracy, everyone has the right voice, react,or protest against any matter concerning the public.but this should'nt be at the cost&expense of public nuisance, damage to property, etc. In other words, it is an infringement of the basic tenets of democracy, viz.causing inconvenience to public life&curtailing free movement of vehicles etc, which amount to curtailing freedom of expression, free movement etc, which are fundamental rights of a citiizen.Invariably, the hartal, turns out to be a bandh, stopping all activities. The amount of loss caused to the economy is tremendous. No one should impose a bandh on anybody else.Rather the Public should have freedom to choose their way.It is only unfortunate, that in a country like India,a growing economy, the politicians, irrespective of parties, resort to proclamation of Hartal, knowing fully well the implications.A time will come, when the public will shun the polticians and resort to their own methods in handling situations.

Firstly, it is the State which should take all adequate and effective measures to see that the normal life of the citizens are not paralysed. Secondly, those who call for hartals or strikes for whatever reasons should make it clear that nobody would be compelled to participate in the hartal or strike, that traffic would not be obstructed and those who are willing can go for work and that their fundamental right to move would not be affected. The callers should also instruct their supporters to see that no coercion or force should be used for compelling others to participate in the hartal or strike. When the state govt fails to protect and safeguard the fundamental rights, the governor should interfere in the matter to maintain the law and order.
